On June 29, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round under the Manitoba skilled worker program in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round #184, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 315 applicants who scored 613 points and above.  Manitoba also issued 184 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 662 points, three points fewer than the previous draw.  In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 26 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 717 points, one point fewer than in the previous draw.  In addition, 62 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 587 candidates, including 162 Express Entry candidates for this round.  In 2023, MPNP invited 7,298 candidates, and 1,943 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.   Skilled Worker Program Manitoba The needs of Manitoba employers are the driving force behind the Skilled Worker Program. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Programme for Skilled Workers is mostly a locally driven program that is managed with Manitoba employers’ requirements in mind. The workers selected by MPNP are all highly skilled, internationally trained, and experienced workers who have a specific skill set required by the local labor market.  All of the selected applicants are then nominated for and/or invited to apply for Canadian Permanent Resident visas, which will enable them to work and settle in Manitoba, Canada. All qualified candidates with the skills required to contribute significantly to the expanding economy are encouraged to apply to the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Programme.  The Manitoba PNP enables all nominated candidates to become Canadian citizens and to remain and work in the province of Manitoba. What is the Skilled Workers Overseas stream? If you want to be considered for the Skilled Worker Overseas (SWO) path, you must show that you have a strong connection with Manitoba by Having the assistance of family or friends (Manitoba assistance), having completed your study or worked in the province previously (Manitoba Experience), or having received an invitation to apply directly from the MPNP as part of a strategic recruitment initiative (Manitoba Invitation). You must receive at least 60 points based on the following five factors in addition to having a link to Manitoba: language proficiency, age, work experience, education, and adaptability. On June 15, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). In round 182, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 255 applicants who scored 602 points and above.  Manitoba also issued 205 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 665 points, four points fewer than the previous draw.  In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 21 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 718 points, 83 points fewer than in the previous draw.  In addition, 59 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 540 candidates, including 187 Express Entry candidates for this round.  In 2023, MPNP invited 6,662 candidates, and 1,781 of them received invitations in the Express Entry. In EOI Draw #181, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream. The Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream invited 262 applicants who scored 607 points and above. Manitoba also issued 240 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 669 points, 32 points fewer than the previous draw.  In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 31 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 801 points, 80 points more than in the previous draw.  In addition, 56 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. On May 18, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP), with 526 LAAs issued in the EOI Draw Manitoba #179. The MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 287 applicants who scored 610 points and above.  Manitoba also issued 191 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 701 points, 51 points more than the previous draw.  In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 27 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 721 points, 22 points more than in the previous draw.  In addition, 21 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream. Manitoba has issued LAAs to 526 candidates, including 225 Express Entry candidates for this round.  In 2023, MPNP invited 5,504 candidates, and 1,380 of them received invitations in the Express Entry. On April 27, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the MPNP. In EOI draw #177, the MPNP under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream and issued 558 LAAs to eligible candidates (344 to Express Entry candidates). The lowest score in the SWO category was 616 points, 103 points fewer than in the previous draw.  In general, the MPNP invites candidates under three streams: Skilled workers in Manitoba, SWO, and the International Education Stream. In this round of invitations, Manitoba held an SWO-only draw. On April 6, 2023, Manitoba held a new invitation round in the new MPNP draw. In round #174 MPNP invited candidates in different streams. In round #174, the MPNP held a new occupation-specific candidate selection under the Skilled Workers in Manitoba (SWM) stream and invited 225 applicants who scored 615 points and above.  Manitoba also issued 226 LAAs in the regular SWM draw. The minimum score for the LAA in this category was 670 points, 2 points fewer than the previous draw.  In the Skilled Workers Overseas stream, MPNP issued 54 LAAs to candidates invited under the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. The lowest score in the SWO category was 708 points, the same as it was in the previous draw.  In addition, 61 invitations were issued in the International Education Stream.  Manitoba has issued LAAs to 566 candidates, including 157 Express Entry candidates for this round.  In 2023, MPNP invited 3,346 candidates, and 516 of them received invitations in the Express Entry.   About Skilled Workers Streams in Manitoba (SWM) Based on the need of Manitoba employers, the Skilled Worker Stream is locally driven.
